Bible Reading Plan

January - December 2024

Going with the theme from our Philippians series, God has called us to be a people who are devoted to Jesus, unified in family, and joyful in all circumstances. When we live this way, we will be a light to our city and the nations!

In Psalm 16:8, David writes, “I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

Although he did not do it perfectly, David was determined to not take his eyes off the Lord! He knew that this was the key to facing the uncertainties of the future.

We can all agree that 2024 will be a big year for our nation, and perhaps the world, and we cannot know what the future holds. However, setting Christ before us as a church will keep us from giving into fears, worries, anxieties, distractions, and temptations from the enemy.

Starting this January, we want to read the Bible together for the year to both keep the Lord before us and to stay unified as a church!

We want to be people who are zealous for a Person, a people, and a purpose! We accomplish this by setting the Lord before us, reading His Word, communing with Him through prayer daily, and encouraging each other with what we are reading. Living this way produces joy as the Lord said it would (Psalm 16:9-11).

One theologian said, "If they are not heavenly- minded and focusing on their final reward, they will be tempted to conform themselves to earthly circumstances around them."

Let’s set our eyes on the Lord this year!
